Framer Launches Scale Tool & Performance Improvements

Framer rolls out a significant platform update, headlined by the new Scale Tool accessible via the K key. Designers can now precisely scale layers using direct numerical inputs like 2 or 0.5, while maintaining style properties intact.

Performance Enhancements The update delivers substantial speed improvements, including doubled locale redirect performance and optimized Video Component lazy-loading. Search and Slideshow Components now feature enhanced Interaction Next Paint (INP) metrics.

Interface Refinements The platform now offers enhanced Gap controls with Variable Padding support, more reliable Link auto-completion, and preserved URL hashes during locale shifts. Additional improvements include better Slideshow content visibility, standardized Layout Template styling, and optimized font loading performance.

Completing the scaling functionality, new Origin X and Y controls provide precise layer scaling directly from the canvas.
