Framer Launches Localization Tools and Developer APIs

Framer has enhanced its platform with new localization features, introducing the Locale Sync Plugin and expanded Localization APIs. This open-source plugin allows users to seamlessly import and export site locales in XLIFF format through the Localization View Toolbar.

The technology behind these APIs is already being leveraged by teams managing extensive websites via Framer's Workspace Plugins. By making these tools open source, Framer continues to demonstrate its commitment to community-driven development and transparency.

In addition to the localization updates, Framer has unveiled a Permissions API Preview, enabling plugin developers to create solutions that support users without design permissions—a feature that will be fully implemented in future releases.
