Framer Updates Text Controls & Technical Features

Framer releases an extensive October update focusing on both user interface enhancements and technical refinements. Users gain access to OpenType support for all Form Inputs, along with new Max Length property controls.

The update introduces a Draggable property for managing image and link interactions, while Component Variants now feature alphabetical sorting. In terms of workflow improvements, Relative Overlays support Close Overlay interaction within Components, and users can convert Stack layers to absolute positioning by holding ⌃ during drag operations.

Technical improvements include enhanced naming for duplicated Components, improved Preview functionality from Canvas, fixed form resizing cursors, and streamlined Page Folder deletion. The update also refines text style preservation during Select All operations, Variable handling, in-app menu search, and resolves CMS page localization and gradient mask system theme compatibility issues.
