Framer Expands Color Range with P3 Support and New Features

Framer has unveiled a significant platform update that brings Display P3 color capabilities to its design toolkit. The centerpiece of this release is a redesigned color picker that now extends beyond the traditional sRGB spectrum, accompanied by intelligent fallbacks for devices without P3 support.

The workspace experience has been refined with practical improvements, including horizontal scrolling functionality in the Layer Panel and native YouTube Shorts integration. M1+ Desktop app users will notice a streamlined experience with automatic updates, while Workspace Plugins have received substantial enhancements for improved functionality.

Additional refinements include an optimized Preferences menu, default gradient options for Masks, and enhanced Analytics page tracking accuracy. The update also resolves several technical challenges, particularly in Layer selection mechanics and CMS export functionality.
