3rd-Party Optimizer Framer plugin
This plugin optimizes the Interaction-to-Next-Paint (INP) Core Web Vital when using Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics, and other analytics scripts. It adds a script to the "Start of head" section to defer tracking until after the UI responds to user interactions, improving perceived responsiveness, especially on lower-end devices.
How it Works:
Traditional GTM setups trigger tags on user interactions, potentially slowing down UI updates. This script defers tracking, ensuring smoother interactions. In rare cases where a user closes the tab, tags fire instantly to maintain tracking reliability.
Setup:
- Ensure your Google Tag Manager snippets are in "End of head", not "Start of head."
- Open the plugin, click "Add Script", and publish your site.
- Monitor your GTM/tracking accuracy over the next few days. If you notice consistent drops of more than 2-3%, disable the script and contact support.
Expect to see INP improvements in Google PageSpeed Insights after about a month of use.
